Take Control of Bristol Buses

Under a franchised system, it would be up to the authority to choose the routes, timetables and fares that they want, before tendering these to private companies to provide the service. This would increase competition in Bristol's bus system as well as making the private companies accountable for the service they provide.

Because of this, we support the 'Take Control of Bristol's Buses' campaign that is petitioning Bristol City Council and the West of England Combined Authority to implement franchising for our bus system.
