Statement on postponement of elections

Bristol (well, everyone's) local elections have been postponed for a year.

Whilst postponement is wise, it's disappointing that it will be a whole year before Bristol gets a chance to change its administration; especially when appetite on the doorstep for current Mayor and administration has been so low.

People are crying out for change in Bristol and the Bristol Liberal Democrats and our candidate for Mayor, Mary Pagehave been offering just that.

In any case, Sarah Classick and Andrew Brown will be continuing to campaign for Windmill Hill, and working with our Lib Dem colleagues (and others) to hold the administration to account.

Meantime, though, we have suspended door-knocking activities. Whilst leaflet delivery will continue for a short while, this will also be kept under review.

If you would like to help us recoup some of the costs incurred so far in preparation for a May election, please do so here.
