Reduce speed limit on Hotwells Rd to 20mph

JUST STARTED

During the recent election campaign, many local residents expressed their view that a 20mph speed limit was needed on Hotwells Rd, in order to improve air quality locally, improve road safety for the area, and improve the plight of local businesses that have suffered in recent years.

Cllr Alex Hartley said, ‘I think that this route, although an arterial traffic route, needs a 20mph speed limit to lower pollution in the area. Many residents that I have spoken to that live on Hotwells Rd have signalled that they back the plan. I want to work with other local councillors and the Highways team at the Council to bring in this 20mph speed limit.’

We the undersigned are calling on Bristol City Council to instate a 20mph speed limit on Hotwells Road in order to improve air quality, improve road safety and address the plight of local businesses in the surrounding area.
