About The Candidates

Tracey O'Reilly

Tracey is a Mum, Business Director, local campaigner and keen litter picker.

Formerly a foster carer, she has seen at first hand the impact of poor service provision in mental health and education and wants more funding. She is passionate about her local Community and like other local residents deeply concerned about the lack of investment in Horfield and the deterioration in maintenance of green spaces, pavements, lighting and roads. The impact of policy and planning on traffic, parking and the saturation of houses of multiple occupancy has to be addressed.

Tracey is keen to see additional licencing of HMO's to ensure better quality and management of rented accommodation and proper consideration of the impact on services and the local Community.

Top of the agenda is traffic and parking and Horfield Liberal Democrats are calling for a Ward wide consultation as well as closer collaboration with Southmead Hospital and sustainableNHS. The objective is to find balanced solutions and give local people the opportunity to have their say. In addition Liberal Democrats are campaigning for Pollution Monitors throughout the Ward.

Tracey is already a successful community worker, setting up and co-ordinating Horfield Together, a response to the pandemic peopled by local residents. She has campaigned for accessible housing, better street lighting and more recently more bins on Horfield Common to reduce the litter and preserve our green spaces.

Tracey is committed to being a local champion and a strong voice for Horfield.
