We'll provide a festive buffet with Christmas Crackers, followed by a 'bring-and-share your own dessert'. We'll take seats to eat at 7 pm. A well-stocked bar will offer drinks for the standard suggested donations of £2 for alcoholic and £1 for non-alcoholic drinks.
This is a 'Pay what you can' event - guests can donate slightly more if they wish to while those unable to pay the full amount can still attend. An estimated average of £20 per person will be required to break even. Payment will be taken on the door in an anonymous box. If you forget to bring cash we'll make a note of your intended donation - your attendance is the most important thing to us.
At the end of the evening we'll sing some carols to a piano accompaniment by Mark Cytera, as carols were incredibly successful last year and were loved by even the more bah-humbug types! Followed by a trip to a friendly local pub.
We'll hold a raffle, and would appreciate donations of prizes on the night.
Lib-Dem-friendly partners, family, children and friends are welcome. Here is a public Meetup event if you wish to use it to invite non-members: https://www.meetup.com/Bristol-Liberally-Minded/events/256806456/
You're invited to wear a Christmas jumper or other festive outfit - a prize will be awarded for the best effort based on flair and creativity!
Venue: St Matthew and St Nathanael's Church Hall, Clare Road, Cotham, BS6 5TB.
If you plan to attend please let Gareth Owen know by 6 December by emailing [email protected], stating any dietary and accessibility requirements.
You can optionally sign up on the Facebook Event for updates.
