Restore Whitchurch's Bus Service

First Bus have announced that they are going to reduce the 92 bus service, stopping it at Belland Drive (rather than continuing to the Hospital) and not going through the Windways estate or serving either Court Farm Road or Tanorth Road. The changes will take effect on April 24th.

The West of England Combined Authority (WECA) is trying to establish alternative provision for the area if First proceed with the cut.

Your local Councillors, Tim Kent, Sarah Classick, and Andrew Brown, are working to try and retain provision to the communities to the south of Whitchurch Lane.

Petition Text:

We, the undersigned, call on the West of England Mayor, Dan Norris, and the Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees, to ensure that a bus service is maintained for communities to the south of Whitchurch Lane and that this continues to serve the South Bristol Community Hospital.

We further call on them to work with both the existing provider and any new operator appointed to ensure that there is no break in service to the residents of Windways Estate, Court Farm Road, and Tanorth Road.

We will include your name and postcode when submitting the petition to both the West of England Mayor and the Mayor of Bristol.
